                  I like the way Jukkala applies paint. His straight forward no nonsense 
                approach is admirable and forthright. It melds well with the odd use of 
                abstract forms that allude to figurative elements and strange takes on per-
                ception. His paintings take me to a place that I feel unusually comfortable
                in.

                 Geise is a San Diego based artist whose stream of consciousness line based 
               narratives reveal themselves through an automatic drawing style similar to          
               Dubuffett's. However, Geise has a more lyrical approach to his tropes. I have seen
               his small scale works over the years and have grown to appreciate his unique 
               iconographic style.

Michael has been a professor at SAIC in the print media department since 1973. He was responsible for my opportunity to attend school there in the mid 70's. His generous approach to teaching and rigorous discipline of his work ethic has made him many friends and admirers over the past 40 years. His skill as an artist is formidable and his insatiable curiosity has spawned a wonderful body of work over the years.
